We have been asked recently, “what is AI anyway” and “how does it work”.
In the simplest terms you can think about AI – artificial intelligence – as computers emulating human thinking. We can apply that thinking in a multitude of ways using the various AI engine companies out there.
In simple terms, think of AI as a really clever auto-complete. It simple asks “based upon the information I have, what is the next most likely outcome” and it delivers that. AI engines have masses upon masses of information to base their autocomplete on so the outcome is very comprehensive.
The AI companies – Open AI, Anthropic, MIcroft, XAI – all have massive amounts of data on which to build their AI engines.
