Our History
PHC was founded in 2011 by Pete Henshall who has been building and running internet-scale systems since the early days of the web in the late 1990’s.
Pete started his career during the 1998 dot-com boom, quickly moving from Technical Support to working as Technical Manager for a national internet service provider, where he led engineering teams and helped rebuild critical infrastructure from the ground up. That experience shaped a long-standing focus on reliability, scalability, and understanding how systems behave in the real world — not just in theory.
Over more than 20 years, Pete has worked with businesses to design, build, and run long-lived web applications and SaaS platforms. We’ve seen projects succeed, fail, and evolve over time, and we’ve learned what actually works when software has to grow, change, and keep running.
Our delivery approach is based on practical Agile principles and a one-team mindset. We work closely with your team and subject-matter experts, keeping communication clear and progress visible at every stage. No silos. Nothing hidden. No surprises.
